ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 1,000 solar tubewells would be installed throughout the country especially in less-developed areas during current financial year by the Pakistan council for renewable energy technologies (PCRET).
The council will also install bio-gas plants as substitute for natural gas and launch a programme solar solution for homes and offices for meeting energy demands.
The PCRET will also cooperate with the private sector for development of commercial scale biogas plants for water pumping and irrigation purposes and also for fertilizer production.
In addition, it will also establish solar-wind hybrid demonstration system through technical cooperation of China.
