ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Institute of Folk and Traditional (Lok Virsa) would organize two-day ‘Chinese Food Festival’ from May 21 in line with the 65th Pak-China Friendship anniversary.
In two-day food festival the people will have the chance to learn more about the history, regional significance and methods of preparation of authentic Chinese food while enjoying the sumptuous festival,” an official of Lok Virsa told the state-run news agency.
He said that it would be the part of on-going efforts of promoting relationship of love and brotherhood between the people of two countries, through common cultural heritage and the food.
He said that the Chinese cuisine is loved the world-over and it is equally popular in Pakistan.
“There are a quite good number of Chinese restaurants in many parts of the country that present variety of Chinese rich food with Pakistani-touch,” he added.
He hoped that the food-festival arranged by the Lok Virsa will make a new beginning in promoting common food-taste and cultural values among the people.
“Pakistan China have a long history. Their friendship withstood the test of time and is deeply rooted in the people’s hearts,” he added.
The Chinese Food Festival would offer its guests a feast of culinary delights from all over China.
