ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Assembly was informed on Friday that a total of 5,322 names of individuals have been deleted from the Exit Control List (ECL) since May 1, 2013 to date.

In a written reply submitted to the National Assembly, Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said 28 people having dual nationality are on ECL. The same is provided by recommending Departments.

He said there is no separate policy for dual nationals, saying that ECL rules 2010/policy is being followed for placement of names on ECL.

He said a new ECL policy has been notified to further streamline the procedure for placement of ECL.

Meanwhile, responding a supplementary question, Parliamentary Secretary for Interior and Narcotics Control, Maryam Aurangzeb said the accused involved in attack on Metro Bus station during a sit-in in federal capital the few weeks back have been identified and arrested.

She said the security cameras under Safe City Projects had integrated with security system and working efficiently like other developed countries of the world to monitor the offenders.

She said the cameras have been linked with National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) and Ministry for Interior. The project managers were deputed to monitor the system set up in sector H-11, she added.
