KARACHI, Pakistan: The 114th Midshipmen Commissioning Parade of 102 Pakistani and 64 Midshipmen from friendly Countries was held at Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi on Saturday.

In his address as the Chief Guest at the 114th Midshipmen Passing out Parade, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi said that Pakistan’s armed forces are well aware of all sorts of nefarious designs and also fully prepared all the time to deal with them.

The Naval Chief said that Pakistan is a peaceful Country and desires friendly and pleasant relations with its neighbors. However, he said that our desire for peace should not be taken as weakness.

Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi said that Pakistan Navy armed with its modern equipment is present and alert in the regional and international waters.

Furthermore, the CNS also highlighted the technological strides and the recent acquisitions made by Pakistan Navy.

The Naval Chief underscored the responsibility and challenges entrusted upon newly Commissioned Officers.

Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi congratulated newly Commissioned Officers and advised them to be grateful to Allah Almighty, remain resolute in taking up sacred task of defending motherland, and put in best to live up to expectations of nation.

Later, the Naval Chief gave away prizes to distinction holders.

The prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medal was conferred upon Lt Asad Munir of Pakistan Navy. The Midshipman Muhammad Hassan Jalal was awarded the coveted Sword of Honour whereas the Midshipman Muhammad Usman Ahmed won the Academy’s Dirk.
