GWADAR, Pakistan: A 10-member Chinese delegation headed by a senior government official visited Gwadar and reviewed progress on various ongoing projects.
The delegation visited the Gwadar Port, Gwadar Expressway, Free Zone, Pak-China Friendship Primary School Faqeer colony and some other projects related to the development of the city.
The Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Dostain Khan Jamaldini and Balochistan’s Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development Muhammad Dawood Baraich briefed the Chinese delegation about the pace of work on the projects.
The delegation was informed that the completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and functioning of Gwadar port would bring about positive economic impact on Pakistan and the entire region.
They said, the implementation of mega projects including construction of Expressway and Gwadar International Airport would be initiated with Pak-China cooperation this year.
They informed that Pak-China cooperation would bring about economic revolution in the region including Pakistan.
They said, Pak-China friendship was higher than mountains, deeper than oceans and sweeter than honey and both the countries set a unique example by standing shoulder-to-shoulder through thick and thin.
Briefing the delegation on the occasion, Director General, Gwadar Development Authority said that the Authority was implementing several development projects in Gwadar out of which a number of the projects including GDA Hospital, GD School had been completed.
The delegation was also briefed about the Gwadar master plan.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Muhammad Tufail and other officials were also present on the occasion.
