LAHORE: A total of 13 confirmed cases of the dengue patients have been reported in Punjab during the current calendar year so far which include five ones from Lahore two from Rawalpindi.
In a meeting of the cabinet committee on dengue held in Lahore, it was told that 2,629 confirmed cases on dengue were reported during the last year while only 13 ones have been reported so far this year.
Meanwhile, taking a serious notice of the increasing number of dengue cases, the Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif directed to take more strict measures for effectively controlling this disease.
