ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: At least 15 terrorists were killed and their eight hideouts were destroyed as a result of aerial strikes on Tuesday in the northwestern volatile North Waziristan tribal region.

In a short press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the air strikes were carried out in Alwara, Khar Tangi and Maizer ahead of Datta Khel close to Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

“15 terrorists were killed and 8 of their hideouts destroyed in aerial strikes today in area Alwara, Khar Tangi, Maizer ahead of Datta Khel close to Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan,” said the ISPR.

The strikes were part of the massive military operation Zarb-e-Azb which has been going on since June 2013 in the tribal region against various terrorist outfits.

Meanwhile, talking to the Director of London School of Economics and Political Science Professor Craig Calhoun in Islamabad today, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif categorically stated to eliminate terrorists from every nook and corner of the country.
