BAGHDAD: At least 16 persons were killed and many others injured when a blast struck inside a Sunni mosque in northern Baghdad during Friday prayers, an Iraqi official said.
The deputy head of the municipal council in the city of Samarra Mizhar Fleih said that the blast took place around midday in Samarra, 95km north of the Iraqi capital.
