The Saudi media report says that 20 further persons were also injured when a suicide bomber denoted his explosives at a mosque located inside an anti-terrorism police camp in Abha city.

It says that those killed as a result of the attack included nine members of the special emergency forces while the rest were workers.

The Saudi media described the incident as a “terrorist” attack, adding that the explosion occurred when worshipers were praying at the mosque.

Earlier in May this year, the militant outfit the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for two separate attacks which targeted two Shia mosques in al-Qadeeh and Dammam.

More than 20 persons lost their lives in those attacks in the Saudi Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Pakistani leadership including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have condemned suicide attack in Saudi Arabia.

In their separate statements, they expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the blast. They said that the people of Pakistan stand with their Saudi brethren in their grief.
