19 dead as monsoon lashes Sri Lanka

SIRILANKA: At least 19 people have been killed and dozens more gone missing‚ most of them fishermen‚ caught in rough seas as monsoon rains and strong winds lash the country.

An official said at least 21 injured fishermen have been rescued so far and admitted to hospital.
