ISLAMABAD: Director General Passports Zulfikar Cheema has said the problem of delay in issuance of passports has been resolved after the provision of lamination paper.
In an interview‚ he said the work related to preparing passports has been streamlined.
He demanded an investigation into stoppage of the supply of lamination paper.
Zulfikar Cheema said about twenty thousand passports are being issued daily. He said the backlog will be cleared in next month.
He said the people who applied for ordinary passports to perform Haj‚ would also be able to get their passports next month.
