NAIROBI, Kenya: As many as 221 stranded Pakistani nationals were repatriated on Tuesday from the Kenyan Capital Nairobi to Karachi.
They were repatriated via PIA flight 8762 following the suspension of flight operation due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The stranded Pakistanis were seen off by the High Commissioner Saqlain Syedah and her team. They bid farewell with warm wishes for the safe return of the stranded Pakistanis.
The High Commissioner lauded the coordinated efforts by the government of Pakistan, the Foreign Ministry, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the Head of Pangani Tablighi Markaz Abdul Qadir Umar and the Kenyan government for making the repatriation a possible.
Earlier on Monday evening, a group of 124 Pakistani nationals including businessmen, construction company employees, tourists and visitors left the Tanzanian City of Tanzania for Pakistan through a special flight.
The Head of Mission Muhammad Saleem and the High Commission Staff were present at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Tanzania to see off the stranded Pakistanis.
