ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 2,473 aliens have so far voluntarily surrendered their Pakistani Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) obtained through illegal means.
As per data, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has so far verified 90.9 million CNICs in relation to on-going national security CNIC re-verification drive. During the campaign, 60,675 aliens/intruders had been identified.
As per data, so far 2473 aliens have voluntarily surrendered their Pakistani CNICs obtained through illegal means. Of the total, 2,392 were Afghans, 57 Bangladeshis, one Indian, one Indonesian and one Iraqi who have returned their CNIC on voluntarily basis.
Moreover, 98 persons helped NADRA in identifications of aliens in its database.
