ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Assembly was told on Friday that the government has granted Pakistani citizenship to 298 Indian migrants/nationals in last six years (2012 to 2017).

In a written answer placed in the National Assembly in response to a question of Shaikh Rohale Asghar, the House was told that 48 Indians were granted Pakistani citizenship in 2012, 75 Indians were granted Pakistani citizenship in 2013, 76 Indians conferred Pakistani citizenship in 2014, 15 Pakistani citizenship in 2015, 69 in 2016 and 15 have so far been granted Pakistani citizenship.

The House was further told that as many as 64 new regional passport offices have been established by the present government in last four years.

In a written reply to the question of Khalida Mansoor, it was told that the interior ministry was planning to establish 13 Executive Passport Offices in 13 major cities of the country.

Out of which 4 offices have already been established in various cities while 9 remaining Executive Passport Offices would soon be established in various major cities of the country soon.

Responding to another question of Aisha Syed, the interior ministry told that 202 family parks are located in the federal capital.

Proposals are being considered to construct new parks and play grounds in D-12, Park Enclave, I-11 and I-14.
