Three Pakistanis among 16 people lost their lives after a blaze broke out in a residential building in Al Ras area of Dubai on Saturday afternoon.
The fire incident occurred on the fourth floor of the residential building in which nine people also suffered injuries.
The deseased Pakistanis hailed from Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Two of the victims were married while one was a bachelor.
The preliminary investigations showed that the fire was caused by a lack of compliance with building security and safety requirements.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of three Pakistanis in a residential building fire in Dubai.
In a tweet on Monday, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families over the tragedy.
The prime minister directed Pakistan’s Mission in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to extend support to the affected families.
