KABUL, Afghanistan: A suicide car blast occurred in a crowded market in Urgun district of Afghanistan’s eastern province of Paktika on Tuesday, killing at least 89 persons and injuring 42 others.
The blast took place when the attacker detonated his explosives-laden vehicle in the market fully packed with the people doing their business.
The Afghan defence ministry sources said that most of the victims were women and children whose dead bodies were recovered from the rubbles.
Nobody has claimed responsibility of the blast yet.
