ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Country recorded 34 more deaths caused by COVID-19 and 1,400 new infections in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The latest statistics issued by the NCOC on Saturday morning revealed that 48,027 people were tested for Coronavirus across the Country on July 2 and 1,400 of them turned out to be infected, showing a positive ratio of 2.91%.

The data showed that in the last 24 hours, most COVID-19 deaths occurred in Sind followed by Punjab. It showed that Sindh registered 19 deaths, Punjab 6, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 3, and Balochistan 1.
To date, the Country has registered a total of 961,085 Coronavirus Cases. Of them, 346,582 Cases have surfaced in Punjab, 339,268 in Sindh, 138,306 in KPK, 82,845 in Islamabad, 27,295 in Balochistan, 20,458 in AJK, and 6,331 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Similarly, 22,379 people have so far died of the infection in the Country including 10,767 in Punjab, 5,497 in Sindh, 4,329 in KPK, 779 in Islamabad, 586 in AJK, 310 in Balochistan, and 111 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
As of now, 906,387 people have recovered from the disease while 32,319 patients are currently under treatment.
