RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: As many as 388 individuals of Frontier Corps (FC), Police, Rangers and other Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) have graduated from the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi through 9th National Integrated Counter Terrorism Course (NICTC).
In this regard, Joint graduation ceremony of NICTC-9 was held at the NCTC in Pabbi near Jhelum on Friday wherein the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was the Chief Guest, said a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Since setting up of NCTC, over 2,35,000 individuals including international military troops from different countries have been trained by Pakistan army at the NCTC, Pabbi.
The training was organized on direction from Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa which shall continue to enhance operational efficiency of Police and other LEAs.
While speaking on the occasion, the federal minister appreciated Pakistan army’s continuous assistance and training support for capacity enhancement of police and other LEAs for counter terrorism operations.
Chaudhry Nisar lauded the sacrifices rendered by Armed Forces, civil society, intelligence agencies and other LEAs in fight against terrorism.
The event was attended by Inspector General Training and Evaluation Lieutenant General Hidayat Ur Rehman and Inspector General Islamabad Police.
Earlier on arrival at NCTC Pabbi, the federal minister was received by Commander Central Command Lieutenant General Umar Farooq Durrani.
