KARACHI, Pakistan: Four persons were killed while nine others injured when a bus turned turtle in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi on Thursday.
Sources said that the accident took place on University Road where a bus turned over due to over speeding. The driver of the bus managed to escape after the accident.
Soon after the accident, the injured were shifted to hospital while investigation had begun.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took a strict notice of the incident and sought a report in this regard from Inspector General of Sindh Police.
The Chief Minister also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives and directed to arrest the driver of the bus at the earliest.
Separately, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar also expressed grief over the loss of lives in bus accident.
“It’s a very sad incident of bus accident,” the mayor said.
Waseem Akhtar criticized development projects of the Sindh government. “I will not let anyone to misuse public money,” he added.
