Hollywood has already dropped bombs this year and still the mega film industry is coming up with new stuff. Dracula and Witcher are some really good examples of what the industry has produced so far. Following are the movies that are going to rock the cinema halls this year.
BLACK WIDOW
Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the twenty-fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Cate Shortland from a screenplay by Eric Pearson and a story by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, and stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow. Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), the film sees Romanoff on the run and forced to confront her past. Black Widow is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 1, 2020.
MORBIUS
Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is intended to be the second film in Sony’s Marvel Universe. Morbius is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 31, 2020. The film is about a man Suffering from a rare blood disease, Michael Morbius tries a dangerous cure that afflicts him with a form of vampirism. It is to be released on July 31, 2020.
SNOWPIERCER
Snowpiercer is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller television drama series that is set to air on TNT on May 31, 2020. It is based on both the 2013 South Korean-Czech film of the same name, directed by Bong Joon-ho, and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige. While in development at TNT for over three years, the series faced numerous production issues and delays arising from creative differences between the series’ producers and the network. However, it is to be released in spring 2020.
GUNS AKIMBO
Guns Akimbo is a 2019 action comedy film written and directed by Jason Lei Howden. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Natasha Liu Bordizzo. The film revolves around Miles who spends his days in a dead-end job, pining for his beautiful ex-girlfriend Nova. His mundane existence is turned upside-down when he finds himself enrolled on a dark net website that forces complete strangers to fight in a city-wide game of death so that their gladiatorial battles can be live streamed worldwide to a fanatical audience. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 5, 2020.
