ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Coronavirus took 43 more lives across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, taking the toll of COVID deaths to 11,247, as per the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC).
In the last 24 hours, 20 COVID patients died in Sindh, 14 in Punjab, 4 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 3 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), and 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
So far Punjab has recorded a total of 4,537 deaths of Coronavirus, Sindh 3,875, KPK 1,826, ICT 463, AJK 252, Balochistan 192, and Gilgit-Baltistan 102.
The NCOC data updated on Saturday morning showed that 40,403 people were tested for COVID-19 on January 22 across the Country, out of whom 1,927 were found carrying the virus.
The national positivity ratio on January 22 stood at 4.77%.
To date, a total of 530,818 Coronavirus Cases have emerged in Pakistan.
Of them, 239,935 Cases surfaced in Sindh, 152,925 in Punjab, 64,945 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,629 in Islamabad, 18,715 in Balochistan, 8,770 in Azad Kashmir, and 4,899 in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
As of January 23, 35,063 COVID patients are undergoing treatment in the Country while 484,508 people have been recovered now.
