PESHAWAR: A 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Peshawar and its surrounding areas on Wednesday; however, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
The epicenter of the quake was in the Hindu Kush region.
Earlier in the day, Swat and its surrounding areas were jolted by a 5.3 magnitude earthquake. The epicenter of the quake was the bordering area of Afghanistan and Tajikistan at a depth of 112 kilometer.
