ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with other agencies has distributed 40,846 tents, 45,912 blankets and 27 ton medicine in earthquake hit areas.
According to consolidated figures of relief operation, damages and losses issued by the NDMA, the authority, Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), Pakistan Army and other relief agencies has distributed 880.26 ton food packs, 6,494 plastic mats, 14,000 tarpaulins, 14 ton bottled water, 49 water filtration plants and 116 generators in earthquake hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to breakup, 36,296 tents have been distributed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4,000 in FATA and 550 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Giving details of losses, 278 people died, 2,023 injured and 69,778 houses and 495 schools were damaged, 231 people were died, 1,632 injured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 30 people died, 209 got injured  and 706 houses were damaged in FATA, 10 died, 92 got injured in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Five people had died and 79 people injured and 20 houses were damaged in Punjab, 02 people were killed, 11 were injured and 25 houses were damaged in Azad Jammu and Kashmir due to recent earthquake.
