ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A total of 2159 terrorists killed and 1724 were arrested so far by the law enforcement agencies of the country under the National Action Plan (NAP).

The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control Friday presented a written achievement report under NAP in National Assembly, which stated that 332 persons had been executed so far under Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) in the country.

It added that 322 persons were held and Rs. 354.56 millions was recovered for Chowking financing for terrorism and terror organization. A total of 148 cases were transferred to Special Trail Courts (STCs).

The report stated that 98.3 million SIMs have been blocked for dismantling communicating networks of terrorism. About 933 URLs and 10 websites of organization have also been blocked by Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT).

Budget was also released to strengthen and activate NACTA and steps were also taken to establish and strengthen JID.

The report stated that 2337 cases were registered for hate speeches and material and 2195 persons were arrested while 73 shops were sealed.

Likewise, 9164 cases were registered, 9340 persons were arrested and 2452 equipments confiscated for misuse of loud speakers.

It further added, 8195 persons were include in fourth schedule and movement of 2052 people were restricted for ensuring against reemergence of proscribed organizations and individuals.

Uniform registration and data form developed by NACTA and ITMP and shared with relevant stakeholders for registration and regulation of madrassas. As many as 167 madrassas were closed in Sindh, 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two were closed in Punjab.

Under the NAP, list of activists and proscribed organization was shared with MoIB and PEMRA to strictly implementation of ban on glorification of terrorism in media.

A committee headed by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz was constituted for FATA reforms.

About 1132 hardcore elements were pointed out in Punjab and 649 persons were booked for facilitating hate speeches.

Similarly, target killing in Karachi decreased to 53 percent, murder incident decline to 50 percent, terrorism incidents down 80 percent, dacoity 30 percent and extortionism reduced 56 percent in the biggest city of the country due to Rangers operation.

A total of 69,179 criminal arrested, 890 terrorists held, 676 proclaimed offenders, 10,426 absconders, 124 kidnappers, 545 extortions, 1834 murderers were also apprehended and 16,306 weapons recovered during the Karachi operation.

The report of Interior Minister said steps were also taken for surrender of farraris in Baluchistan and reconciliation process. Likewise, 25 centers were established in the country for registration of Afghan refugees.
