PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Tuesday directed administrative heads of Federal Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) Secretariat and relevant departments to ensure transparency in development projects and appointments.
Presiding over a high level meeting here during his visit to FATA Secretariat, he emphasized upon administrative heads to address masses’ problems on priority basis without compromising on quality and transparency, said a press release issued.
The Governor warned that lethargy in administrative matters and execution of development projects would be dealt strictly, adding that tribal people have rendered great sacrifices for the country and time has come to compensate them.
He assured that all available resources would be provided and utilized for welfare and prosperity of tribal people.
Earlier, Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Aslam Kmboh and administrative heads of all the relevant departments briefed the governor about the services, projects and performance of their department.
It was informed that in recent years there was not a single case of polio reported from FATA.
Later, the Governor visited Polio Centre, Emergency Operation Centre and Analysis Wing at FATA Secretariat and reviewed health services for tribal people.
