ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will lead the Pakistan delegation at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Inter-Summit Ministerial Meeting being held in Pokhara City of Nepal from March 14 to 17, according to the Foreign Office.
In a statement issued in Islamabad on Tuesday, the Foreign Office said that the ministerial meeting will be preceded by the SAARC Standing Committee Meeting comprising the Foreign Secretaries of the member states.
Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry will represent Pakistan in the SAARC Standing Committee Meeting on March 16, 2016.
On the sidelines, the adviser will hold bilateral meetings with all his counterparts from the SAARC member states including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
In those meetings, Sartaj Aziz will present formal invitation letters from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the Heads of State/Government of the SAARC member states for the 19th SAARC Summit to be held in Islamabad in September this year.
