ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: State Minister Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Aminul Hasnat Shah on Friday said that Pakistan wanted to strengthen religious and cultural tourism relations with neighboring countries.

Responding to a calling attention notice in the National Assembly, the minister said “we are providing all basic facilities to the Yatrees coming from India”.

He said that the Pakistan always welcomed the Yatrees with open heart.

He said that in 1974 an agreement was signed between India and Pakistan according to which devotees from both the countries can visit each others holy places for 20 times in a year.

The minister said that 800 Zaireen visit India as comparing to 9000 visits form India every year.

To a question, he told that the ministry of Religious Affairs conducts Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) conference annually in which large number of scholars from different countries participate.

He said that the ministry also conduct various other religious programmes with the passage of time.
