ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Officer of the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) Kulbhushan Yadav, who was held last week from Chaman near the Pak-Afghan border area, intended to target Gwadar in future as part of mission to disrupt China-Pakistan Ecommerce Corridor (CPEC), according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“His goal was to disrupt development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, with Gwadar port as a special target,” the Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa said in a joint press conference along with Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed on Tuesday.

Bajwa gave the credit of Yadav’s arrest to intelligence agency, terming it a big achievement.

The DG ISPR said that Kulbhushan Yadav entered Balochistan from Taftan, and when he was arrested in the first week of March, he possessed currencies of Pakistan, Iran and United States as well as maps of Balochistan.

Asim Bajwa said that Yadev was tasked to destabilize Pakistan, create unrest, sponsor terrorism and separatism in Balochistan.

On this occasion, a seven-minute video statement of the Indian intelligence operative was also played in which he acknowledged that he was a serving Indian Navy officer working for RAW. He also confessed to have sponsored many terrorist and subversive activities, links with Baloch separatists and future plans.

The RAW agent said that he was directly handled by Indian National Security Advisor, RAW Chief and a Joint Secretary of RAW.
