ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday demanded constitution of a judicial inquiry headed by sitting Chief Justice of Supreme Court to probe Panama leaks.
Addressing a press conference at the Press Information Department (PID) in Islamabad, Central Information Secretary of PTI Naeem-ul-Haq said that the country is facing so many challenges and the nation wanted truth about the Panama leaks.
He also appreciated the steps of the federal government about the permission of addressing press conference at the PID.
The member National Assembly Ayesha Gulalai and Shehryar Khan Afridi were also present on the occasion.
Naeem said that state media should also cover the opposition parties because these are the property of the nation.
He said that inquiries have been initiated in different countries about offshore companies.
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already ordered an inquiry on the panama papers and a commission will submit the report till April 25, he added.
He rejected all the allegations about Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Imran Khan because all of the US$ 3 million were returned to the account of hospital from offshore companies on June 29, 2015.
To a question, he said that Imran Khan and other PTI members would appear before the commission if it will call anybody about any allegation.
