KARACHI: The first meeting of the Sindh interim cabinet was held on Monday after the 17-member cabinet led by Chief Minister Justice (retd) Kurban Alvi took oath on Saturday and discussed various issues, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

During the meeting held at the Sindh Secretariat, the cabinet gave its approval for 8,000 recruitments in the police department as well as security plan for the forthcoming general election, Secretary Information Noor Muhammad Leghari told media.

Leghari said that it was also decided in the meeting that all the illegal migrants would be confined to their respective areas in the province.

Moreover, briefing was also given about government affairs and development projects during the meeting, he said.
