ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: An amount of Rs 37 million will incur on the construction of boundary wall around Fruit and Vegetable Market having six gates and 94 entry and exit points.

Chief Commissioner Islmabad, Zulfiqar Haider on Wednesday formally inaugurated the construction of boundary wall around Fruit and Vegetable Market here at I-11/4.

Construction of boundary wall will be completed in one year with a cost of Rs 37 million.

The boundary wall will be 12 feet high and 7328 feet long.

It will have six gates with 94 entry and exit points while six CCTV cameras will also be installed around boundary wall.

A control room will also be established in Sabzi Mandi supervised by the police to monitor the situation.

The Chief Commissioner Islamabad was warmly welcomed by the representatives of Whole Sale Fruit and Vegetable Association.

Speaking on the occasion, the traders representatives said that construction of protection wall around Sabzi Mandi was a long standing demand of traders.

They also commended the efforts of Director, Agriculture, ICT, Lubna Sardar Ghayas and Islamabad Market Committee and thanked all for extending their full support for the boundary wall project.
