HANGU, Pakistan: An improvised explosive device (IED) blast close to a security check post martyred two soldiers of Thall Scouts and injured one in Lower Kurram Agency on Friday, according to Frontier Corps (FC) media cell.
The landmine exploded near a check post of Thall Scouts in Lower Kurram agency, bordering Afghanistan. One soldier died on the spot while two injured of whom one succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The soldiers embraced Shahdat included Lance Naik Muhammad Farooq Khattak and Sepoy Bakh Wali Afridi.
The political authorities and security forces cordoned off the entire area and started combing operation. The forces also targeted the hideout of the militants after the blast.
