ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said the government wanted to resolve the matter of Terms of Reference (ToRs) with opposition through talks during the holy month of Ramzan.
The government wanted to tackle the ToRs issue as soon as possible to carry out an investigation on the Papers, he said talking to a private news channel.
The minister said the opposition is doing politics on Panama Papers and its ToRs are person specific start from the Prime Minister and also end on him (PM). Although the Prime Minister’s name was not mentioned in Panama Papers, he added.
He said the accountability should be carried out across the board against the person involved in corruption. The leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) names were also mentioned in Panama Papers, he said.
Khawaja Saad said the government was ready for legislation on Panama Papers through parliament.
Replying to a question that PTI would again hold a protest demonstration in the country, he said PTI had wasted its and nation’s time in sit-ins at D-Chowk.
He said that PTI wanted to do politics of agitation and it is cleared that it would again waste its time doing the same.
