ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad to discuss the matters pertaining to national security.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and National Security Advisor Nasir Janjua.
The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mehmood, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Air Chief Air Marshal Asad Abdur Rehman Lodhi, Naval chief Admiral Zakaullah and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General Rizwan Akhtar were present.
Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi also joined the meeting.
Earlier, the prime minister and COAS held a one-on-one meeting at the PM House and discussed matters pertaining to regional and internal security.
