However like the first innings, Pakistani batting again crumbled and whole team got out for 234 runs, falling short of 330 runs.

In Pakistan’s second innings, Muhammad Hafeez scored 42 runs, Shan Masood 1, Azhar Ali 8, Younis Khan 28, Misbah-ul-Haq 35, Asad Shafiq 39, Sarfaraz Ahmed 7, Yasir Shah 10, Wahab Riaz 10, Muhammad Amir 29 and Rahat Ali 8.

Joe Root was awarded man of the match as he scored 325 runs and also grabbed 1 wicket in the match.

Though Pakistan had an excellent start of the series as they defeated England at Lord’s by 75 runs but the visiting side could no longer remain consistent as they are always labeled ‘unpredictable’.

Pakistan’s performance with the bat and bowl throughout the Old Trafford Test wasn’t worth admiring.

The third Test between Pakistan and England will begin at Birmingham’s Edgbaston ground on August 3.
