ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said THAT the federal government will continue to extend all-out support to the Sindh government in its endeavours to better serve the people of the province.
Talking to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah in Islamabad on Friday, the prime minister congratulated him on his election as the Chief Minister Sindh, and expressed the hope that the elected Chief Minister will strive for the development and uplift of the province according to the mandate and aspirations of the people.
The two leaders discussed various matters and issues related to Sindh. Overall state of affairs in the province and the law and order situation of Karachi also came under discussion during the meeting.
The newly elected Chief Minister Sindh inquired about the health of the prime minister. He appreciated and acknowledged the full-fledged support of the prime minister on Thar coal project.
The Chief Minister raised some issues pertaining to the Ministry of Water & Power during the meeting. In response, the prime minister directed the Minister and Secretary Water and Power to meet the Chief Minister and mutually resolve the issues.
Later talking to the media persons in Islamabad, the Sindh Chief Minister said that the provincial government will keep its focus to improving law and order situation in the province.
Murad Ali Shah said that his desire is to provide best possible education and health facilities to the people. He said that the province is faced with many challenges but it has the resources to cope with them.
Talking about his meeting with the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said that Nawaz Sharif has assured him all out cooperation in meeting the challenges.
