RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Director General Strategic Plans Division (SPD) Lieutenant General Mazhar Jamil on Tuesday conferred Distinguished Service Medals upon 28 eminent scientists, engineers and officials of SPD for their meritorious services.
In a statement issued in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the Director General SPD conferred Distinguished during an Investiture Ceremony held at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Earlier in the day, Brigadier Tariq Qadir laid floral wreath at the grave of Nishan-e-Haider recipient Lance Naik Mehfooz Shaheed at Pind Malkan near Sihala, and offered Fateha.
Similarly, Brigadier Ahmed Fawad Azeem laid floral wreath at the grave of Nishan-e-Haider recipient Sawar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed at Jatli, and offered Fateha.
It is pertinent to mention here that Defence Day is being celebrated across Pakistan today (September 6) to pay tributes to martyrs and reiterate commitment to defend the motherland against all threats.
