LAHORE, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday urged all political forces to take notice of threats regarding shutting down of the Federal Capital by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to the leadership of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) in Lahore, he appreciated the role of the JUP for strengthening democracy in the country.
The minister urged the JUP leaders to play their positive role in this national political issue.
The JUP President Pir Ijaz Hashmi and Secretary General Awais Norani said that any attempt to damage the democratic process would not succeed.
They said that respect of the court was the responsibility of every citizen, adding that democracy should be allowed to prevail by following the Constitution.
