RAWALPINDI: Nomination papers of Raja Pervez Ashraf, former prime minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader, have been rejected for NA-51 Rawalpindi constituency, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

He was accused of misappropriating funds and indulging in nepotism.The former prime minister had submitted his nomination papers from his home town Gojar Khan, which located in the NA-51 constituency.

Ashraf was appointed as prime minister of Pakistan after the Supreme Court sent his predecessor Yousuf Raza Gilani packing for not writing letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
