ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) is holding inaugural ceremony of the “Iranian Link Passage” established at Lok Virsa Heritage Museum on November 1.

Dr. Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, Deputy Minister for Culture & Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Iran and senior government officials would participate in the ceremony, Executive Director Lok Virsa Dr. Fouzia Saeed told the state-run news agency.

Lok Virsa Heritage Museum was established in the year 2004 depicting living cultural traditions and lifestyles of the people of Pakistan presented through three-dimensional creative manner.

Besides presenting the cultural heritage of Pakistan, the museum also projects the cultures of other brotherly and friendly countries that share similarities and influences with the culture of Pakistan including Iran through various link passages.

The Iranian link passage was created at the time of establishment of Heritage Museum, which has now been redesigned, renovated and improved by the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with Lok Virsa.

It displays arts, crafts and other material relating to culture of Iran.
