ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Country Director Asian Development Bank (ADB) Dr. Werner E. Liepach has disclosed that the bank would approve a soft term financing amounting to US $ 750 million for four projects to Pakistan next week.
The Country Director of ADB told a group of journalists that his banks would approve four projects namely Pehur High level canal extension project, access to clean energy investment programme, National disaster risk management fund,and public-private partnership investments in Sindh province.
“We have recommended four soft term loan projects worth US $ 750 million and these projects would be finally approved by ADB board in Manila next week,” Dr.Werner E.Liepach said.
Under the energy project thousands of schools would be equipped with solar system while under the disaster risk management fund initiative would help reduce life and properties in case of any disaster like earthquake and would be a model project, he added.
He also appreciated the government for the implementing the development project for welfare of people of the country.
