ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government was making serious efforts by setting up model schools in all agencies of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) aiming at providing quality education to the youth of area.
The project of Model Schools was launched by the former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, and its main purpose was to enhance the capabilities of youth in this region.
An official of the FATA Secretariat told the state-run news agency in Islamabad on Thursday, that the government has already taken various steps for the improvement of health and education sectors which were badly affected by terrorism.
He said security forces and tribesmen had rendered great sacrifices for the peace and stability of Pakistan and for the whole region.
He said teacher’s strength was being enhanced and a mechanism has been formed to ensure their duties.
Replying to a question, he said three cadet colleges had been established in FATA to provide quality education to children, who had long been deprived of education.
