ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) would hold International Seerat conference from December 8-9 to mark Eid-Milad-un-Nabi.
The conference would highlight the message and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as a major source of guidance for the entire humanity to have a successful life here and hereafter.
Representatives from Universities and religious institutions from various parts of the country will attend the event.
Foreign participants will be from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Aljazair, Kosovo, Sudan, Brunei and India.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said that the event has a special significance, since its participants will deliberate upon the Islamic concept of social justice and welfare of society.
The conference is also aimed at projecting the rights of less-privileged and depressed section of the society in a Muslim State.
Islam, he said is a complete code of life that safeguards fundamental rights of the people across the board.
The conference is being arranged by the University’s Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
