LAHORE: Jammat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded 3 National Assembly and 6 provincial assembly seats from Lahore

The talks between PML-N and Jammat-e-Islami on the issue of seat adjustment have failed without yielding any positive result.

In this connection the JI leader Dr. Fareed Ahmad Piracha told our Lahore representative that in the meetings of committees formed to decide the seat adjustment‚ Jammat had made it clear that it had full capacity to win over 13 national and 26 provincial level seats.

However‚ in today’s meeting the PMLN leaders told that their party was going to have alliance with other parties and not with the JI.

He said that JI does not accept such view point.

He told that Liaqat Baloch‚ Dr. Waseem and Ameerul Azeem participated in todays talks from JI side while the PMLN side was led by Hamza Shahbaz and Khawaja Saad Rafiq.
