ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday emphasized the need for modernizing the education system keeping in view the national objectives.
In his address at the National Education Conference held in Islamabad on Tuesday the president said that there was a need of an education system under which the educated youth could serve the people with their best capabilities.
The president said that under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s direction a Committee was formed headed by the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman for preparing a uniform curriculum.
President Mamnoon pointed out that education experts from the four provinces were included in the Committee.
Mamnoon Hussain further said that there was a need for a strong education system for bright future of the youth and the Country. He stressed that education and examination systems should be reviewed and improved.
Separately, a Pakistani delegation comprising Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, Federal Minister for Education Baligh-ur-Rehman and Education Ministers of the four provinces were participating in a three-day ‘Education World Forum 2017’ in London to discuss and debate issues related to education.
During the three-day forum, Pakistani delegates would benefit from knowledge and expertise of leading educationists and policymakers in the field.
