ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan on Thursday voiced serious concern over building of a Secret Nuclear City and development of inter-continental ballistic missiles by India, saying such would disturb strategic balance in the region.

In his weekly news briefing in Islamabad, the Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said that the Indian defence buildup would also endanger peace in the region and beyond.

The spokesman urged the International Community to take notice and check rapid Indian expansion in conventional and nuclear weapons.

Zakaria also said that India was involved in acts of terrorism in Pakistan and Islamabad had provided evidence to the United Nations about Indian interference. He said that India was funding terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Furthermore, the spokesman said that India was constantly violating ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC) which resulted in the loss of lives of the innocent civilians.

The foreign office spokesman said that Indian belligerence continued to pose threat to the peace in the region which the International Community should have taken note of.

In reply to a question, he said that Pakistan remained open for dialogue with India and took a number initiatives but India did not respond positively. He said that instead of resolving the issues amicably through dialogue, India adopted a hostile attitude.
