ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the latest Indian Ceasefire violation at the Line of Control (LoC), and said that the deliberate targeting of Pakistani Civilians and Soldiers is contrary to human dignity and laws related to human rights.

In a statement, the Foreign Office said that the Director General (South Asia & SAARC) Dr. Muhammad Faisal summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh today and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Indian occupation forces on February 13 on the LoC in Bhimber Sector.

“The deliberate targeting of civilians and soldiers is indeed condemnable and contrary to human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws,” the director general (South Asia & SAARC) told the Indian deputy high commissioner.

The director general urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding; investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations; instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC.

From 10:55 to 11:20 hours on Monday, the Indian forces carried out unprovoked firing on the LoC in Thub area (Bhimber Sector) which resulted in martyrdom of three Pakistani Soldiers including Naik Ghulam Rasool, Naik Imran Zafar and Sepoy Imam Bukhsh.
