PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Back to Back bombings continue to grip the Country, as once again a bomb blast in Peshawar on Wednesday claimed two more lives.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Sajjad Khan told media that it was a suicide blast in Hayatabad Phase 5 area of Peshawar wherein a suicider on a motorcycle blew himself up targeting a Peshawar High Court (PHC) Van carrying Civil Judge Asif Jadoon.
The SSO Operations said that two persons including the Van driver were killed as a result of the blast whereas 10 persons including three women and Civil Judge Asif Jadoon were injured.
The injured were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex.
Meanwhile, security forces cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
Sources said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government officials were also expected to visit the Hayatabad Medical Complex after a while to inaugurate the newly renovated Out Patient Department (OPD).
