GILGIT, Pakistan: The Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman said on Friday that his government would introduce a state of the art ‘Urban Transport System’ to provide better transport facilities to people.
Talking to media persons after a function held in connection with provision of free books to students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Gilgit, the Chief Minister said efforts would be made to introduce this modern transport system in Gilgit-Baltistan within one and half years.
The Chief Minister said that his government has started uniformed development works in all districts including in those where Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) did not get mandate for speedy development.
The Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan said that political jugglers were making negative propaganda for political gains as they had completely failed to address the Gilgit-Baltistan problems in their respective regimes.
Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman said that work on all development projects that was put into cold storage in the past, has been made functional and completed by his government. He said that development projects worth millions of rupees were started in Gilgit that after completion would change destiny of people.
