RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that terrorism is affecting the whole world and requires collective response approach, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

While interacting with foreign teams at National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) Pabbi near Mangla on Friday where 2nd Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition (PATS) is being held, the COAS said that Pakistan is a peace loving country and has significantly contributed towards peace and stability.

The COAS said that World acknowledges our efforts in this regard and your presence here is the evidence. He said that those who propagate to isolate Pakistan should see how Pakistan is actually valued and honoured by our global friends.

During the visit, the Army Chief also met foreign military teams participating in 2nd PATS being held from April 1 to April 5, 2017. He highlighted the importance of physical fitness and spirit of team work.

Apart from teams of Pakistan Army, 10 foreign teams from China, Indonesia, Jordon, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Thailand and UK armies are participating in the event.

The competition is aimed at testing survival skills and physical endurance spread over 72 hours and include 23 field events focusing on counter terrorism operations.
